A guide to fishing around Little Andaman — remote reef passes, sailfish water and very low fishing pressure.
Little Andaman sits far to the south of Port Blair, a wild island of surf beaches, dense forest and reefs that rarely see a lure. For adventurous anglers, it is one of the most rewarding destinations in the archipelago.
The Fishing Grounds
Reef passes and headlands concentrate bait on moving tides, creating classic GT popping water. Offshore, current lines and colour changes attract sailfish, wahoo and tuna.
Target Species
Giant Trevally, Sailfish, Wahoo, Dogtooth Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, groupers and coral trout are all possible depending on season and conditions.
How to Get There
Little Andaman is reached on extended expeditions from Port Blair — approximately five hours by boat depending on sea conditions. Our solo angler trips include nights at Little Andaman for this reason.
Who It Suits
Little Andaman is best for anglers who value adventure and are happy to travel further for wilder, less-pressured fishing.
Responsible Fishing
Remote does not mean limitless. We release sportfish carefully and respect local regulations and communities.
